Nitte: Knowledge in the subject is very important along with scoring marks in the subject. Students pass in a subject without knowing basics said Managing Director, Bosch Automotive Electronics India Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru, Panduranga Prabhu.
He was speaking after lighting the lamp of Branch Associations at Nitte Mahalinga Memorial Technology University, Nitte, recently.
Adreesing the gatherers Prabhu said, ‘most students are interested in marks without understanding. Engineer should apply what he learnt. Industry expects student to know basics and its practical applications. In Karnataka only 12% of graduates are employed at IT industries’.
On this occasion, Principal, Niranjan N. Chiplunkar congratulated the selected members and mentioned Panduranga Prabhu will be there for college academic council for the 2015-16 and 2016-17. He mentioned that along with these branch associations our college have professional student chapters like IEEE, Computer society of India, ISTE etc.
Further adding he said, ‘Various technical clubs like Aero clubs, Robotics club and also the non-technical clubs. These clubs and associations will help to bring back the students involvement in the activities of college and also help the students to building up their personality’.
