Mysuru: A woman died as a real estate broker known to her slapped amidst a verbal spat. The person accused has been arrested by police.
Mahalakshmi (54), a resident of Siddhartha layout in the city, wife of Umesh, an engineer at BBMP is the deceased. She was missing since May and a complaint was filed at Nazarbad police station.
Keerthiraj alias Ravi, a real estate broker had taken Mahalakshmi to show plots at Vidyaranyapuram. He urged her to give commission for showing plot and slapped her amidst the verbal spat. Mahalakshmi died on spot and Keerthiraj threw the dead body into a bush near Columbia Asia hospital. When the public checked the bush due to bad smell, they observed the dead body and informed the police. The police took Keerthiraj who was moving around suspiciously and enquired him. He agreed that he had slapped her to death. Nazarbad police have registered a complaint.
